Celebrating this Amazing Milestone

There is something truly special about your senior year of high school. You have made it through 12 years of schooling, and must prepare for your entry into the real world. High school graduation is your transition to adulthood. Senior year is filled with College applications, finals, and a lot of emotion. The one thing that should not be stressful, is having senior portraits done to memorialize your accomplishment.

Many people have told me that they are nervous about getting their pictures taken. I am going to let you in on a little secret. Most average people do not know how to pose in front of the camera to be the most flattering for their body. That is where I come in. I have studied posing and am here to be your guide throughout your session.

When you arrive for your session, I will briefly go over the poses I would like to try and a game plan. Depending on what package you have chosen will depend on how the session will go. Most senior portrait session include at least one outfit change. Coordinate with me when you decide what you want to wear, and I will let you know if they will photograph well. I like girls to wear a dress or a skirt, because the dress can be used in posing. If you prefer slacks that is fine as well. For young gentlemen, make sure you arrive at your session with nothing in your pockets! Trying to edit out phone outlines in post is the absolute worst.

I also need to know about any of your activities and whether or not you would like to incorporate them into your session. One gentleman I took portraits for played trumpet in the band, so he wanted a few pictures of him with his trumpet. I am all for it. If there is something that makes you unique, and makes you, you, then I want to capture that.

Other than any props or clothes you want to change into, you should just bring yourself. I try to make my clients feel as comfortable as possible and want your photos to be the best photos you have ever had taken of yourself. If you are not happy with how your pictures turn out, then I would be more than happy to do a reshoot. So far, I have had nothing but happy clients who were over the moon about their photos.

The main thing to remember about your session, is to have fun. You only graduate high school once, and these memories will be great to look back on in 10, 20, or even 50 years. If you are interested in signing your senior up for a session, please submit a booking inquiry.
